Transthoracic Echocardiography (Echo-Doppler)
Transthoracic Echocardiography (Echo-Doppler)
See your heart in action
The cardiac echo-Doppler allows real-time visualization of the heart, its chambers and valves, as well as the blood flow passing through it. This technique uses ultrasound and involves no risk or pain.
What it can detect
- Malformations or abnormalities of the heart valves.
- Blood flow leaks or obstructions.
- Heart muscle performance and coordination of its movements.
How the exam is performed
A gel is applied to the chest to ensure proper contact between the skin and the ultrasound probe. The cardiologist moves the probe to capture precise images of the heart and blood flow. The exam usually lasts between 20 and 30 minutes.
Benefits for the patient
- Painless and radiation-free examination.
- Detailed information about heart structure and function.
- Rapid results for efficient follow-up.
Our approach
At Professor Badidi My El Mehdi’s office, the cardiac echo-Doppler is performed in a comfortable and reassuring environment. The cardiologist takes time to explain the images, answer questions, and propose a personalized follow-up plan, ensuring that each patient fully understands their heart’s condition and the recommended care.
